L1 · Cycles in my day: daily routines

Learning goal

“I can name the parts of my day and say them in order - and I know the day starts again.”

Cycle — something that happens again and again, in the same order.
Routine — the things we do every day, like eating breakfast.
Morning — the first part of the day, when we wake up.
Worked example

Sara's day cards. Step 1: Sara wakes up and eats breakfast. That is morning, the first part. Step 2: After lunch, Sara plays outside. That is afternoon. Step 3: The sun goes down and Sara eats supper. That is evening. Step 4: Sara goes to bed and sleeps. That is night, the last part. Say it plainly: the parts of a day go morning, afternoon, evening, night - always in that order.

Check yourself — explain it

Why does afternoon come after morning?

Paired problem — example still visible
